Global Supply Chain
As vice president for Global Supply Chain, Sam Abdelmalek is responsible for both Pratt & Whitney’s large engine business and Pratt & Whitney Canada engines and non-product. He leads all supply chain activity including strategic sourcing and supply management, while partnering with the Pratt & Whitney Quality organization to oversee supplier quality. Abdelmalek is also instrumental in supporting the industrial readiness of Pratt & Whitney’s supply base to meet the production ramp up requirements and company product cost targets.
Since joining UTC in 2005, Abdelmalek has held roles of increasing responsibility in supply chain. He was most recently vice president, Supply Chain Management at UTAS and before that, vice president, Global Supply Management & Supply Chain Integration for UTC Operations. Prior to his UTC role, he held positions of increasing responsibility in Supply Management at Pratt & Whitney Canada. Abdelmalek began his career at Turbocor, Inc. and Bell Helicopter.
Abdelmalek holds an MBA from Concordia University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Montreal’s École Polytechnique.
